Constructing a parallel line

In this exercise you are given a line \(AB\) and a point \(X\) not on the line. Your task is to construct a line through \(X\) which is parallel to \(AB\).

You will find the transferring an angle exercise very useful.

The diagram contains an example of a point \(C\) not on the line \(AB\) such that the orange line through \(C\) is parallel to \(AB\)
